Roadblocks due to farmers' protest in France
In France, farmers are protesting to increase pressure on the government. They do this out of dissatisfaction with European environmental and climate policy. Farmers feel that they are being treated disproportionately hard and fear for their future.
After protests in Germany, Poland and Romania, farmers are now also taking to the streets in France. They do this mainly out of dissatisfaction with European environmental and climate policy. Farmers are angry about rising price pressure, taxes and green regulations.
Many farmers in France say they are having difficulty making ends meet due to high costs that they are unable or only able to pass on to a limited extent in the price. They say supermarkets are pressuring farmers to cut prices so that the impact of inflation on consumers can be dampened at the store. They are also angry that more and more laws and regulations are being added that they have to comply with.
These protests can affect the travel times of trucks to, from and through France and therefore the arrival times. We will of course try to keep you as informed as possible about the consequences for your shipment. It’s not without reason that we say, We take it personally.
