Flooding in Central Europe causes delays.
People in Central Europe are preparing for exceptional flooding, caused by extreme rainfall. All this rain is already causing many problems, but it seems to be just the beginning. We sympathize with the inhabitants of the affected areas.
Cities such as the Czech capital Prague and the German Dresden are preparing for the high water. In addition to the south of Germany and the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and parts of Austria are also bracing themselves. Some places have already been partially evacuated.
This has an effect on the transit times for shipments with destinations in Central and Eastern Europe, cities such as Vienna, Warsaw, Dresden but also Prague are less easily accessible. In the city of Glucholazy (Poland), all bridges have been destroyed and most of the city is under water. The entire distribution in the Kłodzko Valley has been suspended until the situation improves. If you would like to know what the consequences are for your shipment, please contact our Customer Service department: customerservice@bfglogistics.com, or you can call us on 013 458 2970.
