Empowering safety & excellence: BF Global’s internal warehouse equipment training led by Michel Wijkhuyzen

At BF Global, we believe that empowering our people is the foundation of operational excellence. That belief has been brought to life through Michel Wijkhuyzen, who recently completed an intensive certification course to become an internal trainer for warehouse equipment.

Michel now plays a vital role in upskilling our warehouse team, ensuring that every colleague is equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and safety-first mindset to operate heavy equipment efficiently and professionally.

What does the certification cover?

Michel’s internal training certification enables him to train and assess team members on three essential types of warehouse machinery:

  • Forklift: Used for lifting and moving heavy pallets across short distances. Requires awareness of balance, turning radius, and floor stability.

  • Electric Pallet Truck (EPT): A powered pallet mover designed for transporting loads safely and ergonomically. Ideal for indoor use and tight spaces.

  • Reach Truck: Perfect for navigating high racking and narrow aisles in warehouses. Operators must master visibility, load height, and fork extension.

These certifications are not only legally required under Arbo (Working Conditions Act) regulations in the Netherland. They also help prevent accidents, increase efficiency, and build a culture of continuous improvement

Why it matters:

“When people feel prepared, they feel empowered. Certified training builds safer teams, stronger confidence, and a smarter workplace.”

By investing in internal trainers, BF Global not only reduces reliance on external agencies but also nurtures leadership potential from within.

A huge thank-you to Michel for driving this culture of safety and excellence forward. Your dedication helps our team stay sharp, safe, and prepared for the future.
